The Sock-sess story for Jeff Gibson began at North Texas State University in Denton, Texas, where he earned a B.A degree in Radio/TV/Film with a minor in Journalism. Jeff was now fully prepared to Sock it to the television industry, landing his first TV job in 1988 as a Sports Producer at KTVT in Dallas, Texas. Jeff's star rose higher than a sock drying on a tall clothesline being promoted to Executive Sports Producer then Sports Director during his 12 year tenure at the CBS affiliate. Jeff's mantle became more cluttered than a stuffed sock drawer, as he produced 4 Emmy award winning shows, won 2 Katies, and 2 Associated Press Best Sportscast awards while at KTVT. Another Emmy award followed at KXAS, the NBC affiliate in Dallas. In 2000, Jeff got his foot in the door at the network level, landing a job as News Director at Fox Sports Net Southwest in Dallas. Jeff continued to toe the line on the regional network level, being promoted to Director Of Operations for Studio/Local programming. While not producing as much because of management duties, Jeff still managed to win another Emmy, Katie, and A.P. award, and a national Telly award, bringing his total to 13 major broadcast awards he's socked away. Also, under Jeff's leadership and direction, Fox Sports Southwest has won over 60 major broadcast awards since 2000. Talk about socking it to the competition!
Jeff and his wife Kathryn hope to sock away some money for the three college educations and three weddings they're going to have to foot the bill for in the future for their daughters Shea, Devin,
Jeff, who came up with the Footenbarn idea in 1998 along with his co-creator Shahrook Oomer, hopes that The Adventures of Footenbarn helps answer that age old question of where does that other sock go that you put into the dryer but you can never find.
May the Sock be with you!

"I enjoy creating fun and interesting characters. Footenbarn was challenging. And to bring to life a character and world that has never been seen before was an exciting process to be a part of."

He's been the recipient of several awards including an Associated Press Award, a Katy Award, A Communicator Award and Emmy Award for his television and feature film work.
